Cool Roof
A cool roof is any roofing system designed to reflect more sunlight and absorb less heat than a standard roof, reducing building cooling costs.
In DFW where summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F, cool roofs can reduce cooling costs by 20-40%. White TPO and PVC membranes are inherently cool roofs. For existing roofs, silicone or acrylic roof coatings can be applied to create a reflective surface. Cool roof coatings on commercial buildings in Texas may qualify for utility rebates and Section 179 tax deductions. JRH Construction installs new cool roof systems and applies retrofit coatings on commercial properties across Dallas-Fort Worth.
