Hail Damage

Hail damage to roofing materials includes bruised or cracked shingles, dented metal, punctured membranes, and compromised granule coverage caused by hailstone impact.

DFW averages 3-5 significant hailstorms per year, with hailstones ranging from pea-sized to softball-sized. On asphalt shingles, hail damage appears as circular dark spots where granules have been knocked off, exposing the asphalt mat beneath. On metal roofs, hail creates visible dents. On TPO/EPDM, large hail can puncture or bruise the membrane. Texas insurance law allows homeowners to file claims for hail damage within one year of the storm date. JRH Construction provides free hail damage inspections and manages the entire insurance claim process.
