Parapet Wall
A parapet is a low wall extending above the roof line along the perimeter of a flat or low-slope commercial building.
Parapet walls provide fall protection, hide rooftop equipment, and create a finished appearance on commercial buildings. However, the junction between the parapet and roof membrane (called the base flashing) is one of the most common leak points on DFW commercial roofs. Parapet cap flashing (coping) must also be properly sealed to prevent water entry.
