After the Storm — What To Do First

  1. Document everything from the ground. Hail dents, missing shingles, bent gutters, dings on cars or AC units. Photos with timestamps strengthen the claim.
  2. Don’t climb up. Wet shingles + adrenaline = ER trip. Use the JRH drone instead — free inspection, photo report in 24 hours.
  3. Wait to file the claim until you have the evidence. A pre-claim free inspection from a GAF Master Elite roofer (us) gives you the damage report the adjuster will want anyway.
  4. Call us before you call the insurance company. 30 seconds of phone triage tells you whether this is a real claim or a $200 patch — saves you a deductible if the storm did less than your deductible amount.

How JRH Tracks Storms

We run the same NWS feed you see above through our internal storm-tracker every five minutes. When a hail event hits a JRH service zone, the system queues post-storm outreach within an hour — text, drone-inspection scheduling, and a price-range estimate from photos via SkyGlass. That’s why we’re usually the first roofer your neighbor sees in the driveway.

Want to be on the post-storm outreach list? Text (469) 888-6903 with your zip code and we’ll ping you the moment a storm tracks through.
