Half-Round Gutter
A half-round gutter is a semicircular gutter profile commonly found on historic homes, Mediterranean-style architecture, and luxury estates.
Half-round gutters are the original gutter style, predating K-style by over a century. They are self-cleaning (debris slides out more easily than flat-bottomed K-style) but carry less water volume per inch of width. In DFW, half-round gutters are most common in Highland Park, University Park, Southlake, and Westlake on homes with clay tile, copper, or slate roofs. Copper half-round gutters are the premium choice, developing a natural green patina over time. JRH Construction installs both copper and aluminum half-round systems on luxury estates across DFW.
